Chiado Apartments

Aristocratic, intellectual and bohemian:

Chiado is the neighborhood where the heart of Lisbon beats

Why choose the Chiado Apartments?

Prime Location

Located in one of Lisbon’s oldest and wealthiest neighborhoods, you will have everything within walking distance: restaurants, bars and nightlife, shops and several “must see” places that you won’t want to miss. But this neighborhood is also close to the largest public transport hubs for buses, trams, trains and boats. You just have to choose how you prefer to visit the city!

Character Building

After the 1755 earthquake that destroyed Lisbon, the reconstruction of the city gave the opportunity to restructure the urban fabric and the modern spatial matrix was adopted, organising the city in to blocks. Housed in a mid-19th century architectural building, our apartments are decorated with elements from the same period, adapted to provide you with all the comfort of the modern era.

Freedom of choice

The Chiado neighborhood is full of restaurants and bars where you can find everything from typical Portuguese meals or your favorite meal. But to make your life easier, we have an equipped kitchenette at your disposal so you can prepare your own meals according to your tastes and needs. And if you feel like snacking at any time, in our apartments you won’t have to worry about respecting schedules.

Chiado Neighborwood

Chiado is an unmissable neighborhood where centuries-old shops coexist with modern brands, signature restaurants, theaters and places to see and be seen with lots of live music and entertainment. But it is also a historic neighborhood full of ancient sites such as churches, monuments and even, recently discovered, Roman necropolises dating back to the 3rd and 4th centuries AD when Lisbon was still called Olisipo.

This neighborhood is surrounded by the neighborhoods of Principe Real and Bairro Alto to the north, Baixa and Colina do Castelo to the west, Santos and Estrela to the east and Cais do Sodre and Praça do Comércio to the south, both in front of the Tagus river.

Listing everything that exists in this neighborhood and its surroundings is a task that we leave to the city guides (see Inspirations), but we think it is important to organize some information so that you can enjoy your stay with us as much as possible.
